How to Stabilize Page One Ranking in Google?

Hi frieds.
My website(home page) had been ranking in first page of Google search results and then it went to 10th page and again to 3rd page. It has been fluctuating often. Though competition for that particular keyword is not that high, I find it difficult to get it on page one again. Please help me to get rid of this problem. Also it will be helpful if any of you can tell me the other sources to promote apart from ‘Social Bookmarking’ ‘Article Promotions’ ‘Directory Promotions’ ‘Forum Postings’ ‘Blog Promotions’ ‘Press Released’ ‘Business Listings’. Thanks in advance.

The sources you mentioned are about all there is. If you are in an uncompetitive market, and you have utilized all of those resources correctly you would be ranking. Maybe your site is not compliant with the Google webmaster guidelines.

    Hi there,

Page ranking has long been the subject of mystery. Ultimately, Google bases its rank around how relevant your website is to the keywords. You can always search the term "search engine optimization" and that should turn up some good text for you to read. Also, if you would like, I can help you locate companies that can help your website stabilize page ranking.
