What is your TOP 10 website promotion list?

My TOP 10 promotion list. What is your top 10?

1. Search engines.
2. Forums and Message boards are a great way to promote your link. Just put the link in your signature.
3. Use Free Ad Boards. for eg. http://BusinessFreeAd.com or http://ovgo.com These are boards that you can post a text ad free for a pre-determined period of time, usually 5 to 10 days. Then your ad expires and you are emailed the option to re-post your ad free for another cycle.
4. Free classifieds are a fast and easy way for you to start marketing, especially if you’re new to internet marketing. For eg. http://tumano.com , UsFreAds.com, etc
5. Pay per click (PPC) is now one of the most popular way to advertise in the Internet. Use Google Adwords, Yahoo! Sponsored Search, etc.
6. Social Bookmarking. Submit your links to social bookmark networks such as digg and del.icio.us
7. Use social networks such as facebook, myspace, linkedin, yuwie.com
8. Publish an E-Mail Newsletter. While it’s a big commitment in time, publishing a monthly e-mail newsletter ("ezine") is one of the very best ways to keep in touch with your prospects, generate trust, develop brand awareness, and build future business.
9. Install a "Signature" in your E-Mail Program to help potential customers get in touch with you.
10. Write Articles for Others to Use in their Newsletters. One of the best means of marketing is by submitting articles to online article directories.

Nr.11 Register a domain and redirect the visitors. It’s a lot easier for people to find you if you have your own domain name rather than anonymousblog.blogspot. com. :)

What would I use Twitter, Digg, and Delicious for?

I have a slight understanding of what each service is..
Twitter – update your status
Digg – Share news stories
Delicious – Social bookmarking

Basically, these are all web-social services, right?

But I’m the most "tech-savvy" out of my friends (which isn’t saying much). None of them even know what an RSS reader is. Many of them have never heard of Flickr.

So it isn’t like my friends and I will trade Twitters or anything. Digg, I’m kind of missing the point of, but it must have some logical use, because it’s hit it big. Delicious is pretty popular, but what’s the point of social bookmarking if you don’t have any friends that will contribute to the social part? I already use Google bookmarks. Should I give Delicious a shot?

I want your opinions. Would Twitter, Digg, or Delicious really benefit me in any way if none of my friends use any of the mentioned services?

Deli.cio.us vs Digg vs Reddit?

I realize that Delicious is a social bookmarking site, but I decided to include it instead of creating a new question…

A vast majority of the people I spend time with haven’t even heard of any of the above mentioned sites, so I’m not looking to connect with any of them. If I’m not looking to connect with people I know, should I be using a social bookmarking service?

Also, could someone please provide me with a non-biased comparison of Digg and Reddit? (comparing the communities, quality of comments, quality of stories submitted, etc…)

How does social bookmarking help build backlinks?

I’ve never tried this process of link building. I usually do forum posts, blog comments, article marketing, blogging, doorway pages, member profiles, and web directories.

I guess I just don’t know what it is! I don’t really understand how the system works. Does digg.com put up a link to your site or something? I’m confused at how this system helps me build backlinks.
EDIT: I’m actually interested in how the system works. Like a step by step process starting from me signing up for digg and ending at visitors coming to my website.
EDIT 2: Aw man, I didn’t know that those sites didn’t have quality backlinks. I guess that’s a good decision on Yahoo! and Digg’s part. They aren’t linking to "bad neighborhoods" by accident. However, I don’t think that the Yahoo! search engine actually uses the nofollow attribute. I’m pretty sure it will follow your page anyway. The nofollow thing is mostly a google thing.

Who is interested in news about the achievements of our time?

You may now the social bookmarking sites like delicious or digg where people all over the world insert news and stories and vote them so they get to the index. There is a small new effort to have a space for that at justclap.com and perhaps it is worth to give it a try. But, is there something else on the Web? I searched all over and sites seem to be inspirational or positive buy not news that matter or news that makes the world move on.

I need some business start up ideas please?

I am looking for really good ideas that can either be a product or service that I can use to start a company. The ideas must be in the technology/computer category.

For example, social networking sites (Facebook, MySpace, etc), video sharing sites (YouTube, Google Video, etc), social bookmarking sites (Digg).

But the problem is, all those ideas have already been implemented and they have become very successful. I am looking for a totally new idea.

Best answer will get more than just points….
