When you use social bookmarking sites, are the files saved directly to your computer, or are they saved only to your bookmarking account?

I have a sarcastic/entertainment blog. The url, since they won’t let me write it all out, is:

and I get about 75+ people a day. Not bad considering I did it just for giggles.

I know my blog isn’t for everyone, but how do I get more people to come to my blog? I post new entries every day or two, I submit it to the top five social bookmarking sites and I put my link on all of my friends’ sites.

I’ve written 100+ entries so far, and the most visitors I’ve had in one day is 176. I’d love to get 1,000+ readers a day. Any advice?

I’ve been blogging for about 3 months now. No ads on my blog to speed up traffic. My niche is about weight loss. It just stresses me knowing that I only have 6 visitors or less a day. In fact I update my blog with new post 3 times a week. I already have 30 post. Since its weight loss, I don’t expect some comments because its not some entertainment or rumor blog. I joined social bookmarking sites and noticed that most weight loss blogs don’t get updated anymore on mybloglog and blogcatalog. I even did a little SEO technique. When I type weight loss on blogcatalog, my site appears on the first page of that site because I update it. Will that happen to search engines like Yahoo and Google too if I update often? Im willing to. How much patience should I need to get atleast 100 a day. Real answers please cause most blog websites only make it complicated.

i read on http://increase-pr.blogspot.com/ that submitting one’s website to social bookmarking sites does help to improve rankings. Is that true? I mean most social bookmarking websites use nofollow tags, so why would we get better PR ?

Is it better to submit the same article to multiple social bookmarking sites, or to just one. I need to know if submitting the same blog article to multiple sites will hurt you because of it being labeled as duplicate content.

I have few images in .gif format i would like to make these images clickabel and redirecting to my site. How can i do this, i have only images nothing else. I would like to add these images to some social bookmarking sites to make my site popular. but before add these images to social bookmarking site, i would like to make them clickable.

I read lots of art-related articles these days, and discover lotsa sites. Want to keep them bookmarked. Never tried any of the social bookmarking sites. Which is more Google-like: lesser features, better functionality?
