I think something right but wrong. Your website should answer these questions if your doing right.

Have done a keyword research of your website keyword? Your website keyword should be searchable, what i mean is lots of people are typing those words in search engine to look for websites,

Have you done market reaserch for your targeted costumers? Do they use the internet to look for things, their location, their capacity?

Next is relevance, are you posting comments on relevant blogs with your keyword as the title(not your name), and with your website URL?

Does your website have those unique and valuable articles with your keywords in it? I mean really great articles!

If you have done those things correctly, I dont think you'll not get any traffic at all.

But rankings and traffic cannot be acquire overnight, it takes some time.

I hope it helps.

These are all marketing tactics. I would add to what you've mentioned and tried that you need a top-level domain. The googlepages domain is also probably holding you back.

Also, no marketing tactics can replace producing good, relevant content that people want and presented in a professional, clean, intuitive format. It really doesn't matter if we understand search engine algorithms if we're not producing good content worthy of being consumed or offering good products worthy of being purchased. And if you're not selling a product, it is usually best to update content semi-regularly.

One more thought... you might consider making your bio more accessible. It appears as though you're asking parents to take your advice on raising creative, imaginative kids. And it seems like you have some good tips for doing so. But it is a difficult task to expect parents to trust (or even read) the advice of someone they don't know. Your identifying, biographical information could be more prominent to let parents know they can trust you and the information you have there may not be specific enough to let them know you know what you're talking about.
